Giro d'Italia, Stage 11 Start

The start in Assisi.

Today's stage, the longest this year at 255 km, is dedicated to Gino Bartali.

Montecatini will host today's finish, the 12th time it has done so. The last time was in 2003 when Mario Cipollini won the stage to pass Alfredo Binda's record of 41 stage victories that had stood since 1933. Cipollini's 42 stage wins is the record for Giro d'Italia.

You can ride with Cipollini at his granfondo in Lucca on June 17th.
